At about ten to eleven, ten minutes before the expected arrival of Mr Darcy, the bell announced an unexpected visitor. To their surprise, it was an errand-boy from a flower-shop bearing two magnificent bouquets, a rare view in Cheapside, I grant you, where the only flowers ever to be presented to the ladies in the vicinity were the sad lilies offered by a scrappy flower-girl in the nearest park. It became very clear to every soul in Gracechurch Street that the flowers arranged in such a lovely abundant manner had been exceedingly unburdening for the wallet of the purchaser, a fact that made them doubly beautiful to those tender hearts on which they had been bestowed.

It is called La Señorita Bennet Tiene Quien Le Escriba (Miss Bennet Has A Correspondent) It is based in a classic in Spanish called, Flowers on Tuesdays. The plot is like this: All the Bennet girls but one(Lizzie)are married,and Mr Bennet is concerned for his favourite daughter's heart. She seems to think her character is an obstacle to find a suitable husband other than irremediable fools the likes of Mr Collins. So Mr Bennet makes up his mind to write her anonymus love letters to raise her spirit.When Mr Darcy discovers this, he decides to step up as the mysterious lover only to find that Lizzie does not precisely like him...

No doubt, everything Colin Firth does with his eyes is just awesome. I have watched his every scene to exhaustion and he succeeds to keep me enthralled each time. I think I have said something related to his extraordinay gift to say everything with his eyes in my Site in Spanish, Loca por Darcy, that I might have neglected to mention here. He beams, he suffers, he lusts, he loves, he yearns without uttering one single word. This is palpable not only in Pride and Prejudice but lately in his last master piece, A Single Man. No wonder he was chosen to share the plateau of possible winners of the Academy Award.

By the way...I have noticed he has made it to the top in the kissing polls. Thank you , gals!

Remember the poll on Kissing Darcys? Well it is still on.

I must confess I am quite put out when I look at the partial results. It seems Mathew Mcfayden's fans are winning over the oldies Colin Firth's.

I agree that Colin Firth is not usually a great fake kisser. But he and Jennifer Eihle were in those days having a steaming affair and there was great and palpable chemistry between them. The one kiss that they shared is delightful.

That is not the case of Keira Knightly and Mathew Mcfayden, since Keira was having an affair with Rupert Friend who was playing Wickham! Who can blame her?

In my opinion, the kissing scene from PP 2005 is quite awkward. I do not buy it. It was a total waste of a scene, having them talking so much iover how they will call each other...and then Fayden's voice saying Mrs Darcy all over and over...I wish they had done a scene similar to the wedding night of the film Victoria, *sigh*. Steamy!

As to the other contestants, I knew they had no chances to ever pass to the top, but it was fun to see what were your views. For my part, I like James McAvoy's kissing very much.

So this is my message. Please, fans of Colin Firth, help me and show where your loyalty lies...

The afternoon had been stormy and as the evening began to unfold a violent wind arose. By the time the party at Darcy House broke up, it blew and rained violently. Such was the weather when Jane and Bingley left and still the same when Miss Darcy retired about an hour later to rest before dinner. However, Elizabeth’s experience in a man’s body had left her, as a legacy, an odd internal clock. She had no sense of lady-like fatigue and no capability to rest at the usual time for a good girl, so she ventured out of her room inpatient to find out what could have come of Mr Darcy.

Much as Elizabeth enjoyed her present interaction with Mr Darcy, she was very anxious to know what he really felt for her. She wanted more clearly to understand the meaning of his looks, whether there was any sincerity in his wordless declaration of tender regard for her, and she particularly wanted to convince Darcy that she was no otherwise interested in him than as a lover and prospective husband. A mutual silence took place for some time. Elizabeth first put an end to it by saying in a lower tone as Miss Darcy was then giving them the powerful protection of her music, “You look bored, Sir.”

Particularly, it means that somewhere, out there, there are about 50 kindred spirits that are so much in love with Mr Darcy as myself, hence I am not alone on my boat. It seems most of you found Darcy's second proposal particularly endearing, seconded by Darcy's smile when Miss Darcy is introduced to Lizzy. I agree, his smile is breathtaking and when he stumbles over his words when saying his Iloveyou ...well...I almost cried. However I confess I am a little disappointed that no one found Mr Bennet's glistering eyes when admonishing Lizzy endearing. It is such a touching scene! Of course, no Matthew Macfayden to crown it...understandable.

Mr Darcy of French Origin revealed!

We have known of long that Mr Darcy's ancestors were French. Well, I now bear witness to that as the absolute truth. Mr Darcy himself asserted it while (for reasons unbecknownst to me) hiding himself as a certain Sheriff of Nottingham answered to a bunch of French menacing archers that he was French on his mother's side!
I laughed out loud in the middle of that scene, finding the whole thing doubly hilarious.
It was quite a discovery, to find MM playing that mean role. I hardly recognised him. The truth is I only did after he had already appeared twice. I recognized his voice! That can only mean that he is quite a good actor. The same happened to me with Colin Firth when he played Lord Webbster in Shakespeare in Love.
As to Robin Hood, it is THE movie. A veritable plethora of delight to the heart. Do not miss it!

As the story moves on the reader will discover that the plot takes quite a different path. Centred on Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship, promising a happy ending, this ffiction grants readers plenty of mush moments full or romance and love.
